President of Zanzibar and chairman of revolutionary council Dr.ali Mohamed Shein said the government values assistance of Haukeland university for improvement of Zanzibar health sector.
He made remarks during his talks with professor Stenner Kvisland of the University of Norway at Zanzibar state house yesterday.
He said the university’s contribution for Mnazimmoja general hospital would enable to meet the demand of enable the hospital to become referral hospital .
Haukeland university has reached an agreement with Mnazimmoja hospital in 2009 under which the university would provide empowerment assistance and infrastructure for the hospital.
Dr. Shein said the co-operation prevailing between the two countries is very important for the implementation of government objective to have a referral hospital in the country.
